Alexandra joined The Law Practice (UK) Ltd as a Conveyancing Assistant in November 2017 and is based in our Walsall office.
Alexandra’s role involves dealing with Land Registry, Stamp Duty online submissions and keeping regular contact with clients, estate agents and other solicitors during the conveyancing process. Alexandra is developing her knowledge and understanding of conveyancing with the support and supervision of The Law Practice.
Ashley joined The Law Practice (UK) Ltd in May 2016
Ashley initially joined The Law Practice (UK) Ltd as a Paralegal. He quickly progressed and subsequently began his training contract in October 2017. As a Trainee Solicitor, Ashley is involved with acting for clients in respect of business acquisitions and disposals as well as advising, drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts. Ashley has a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Birmingham. Previously, he has carried out a Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution seat, that included Landlord and Tenant matters involving repossessions and disrepair claims. After having started out as a member of the Litigation department he continues to act for various trade creditor clients.
Ashan joined The Law Practice (UK) Ltd as a Paralegal in 2017.
He graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2011 with an LLB (Hons) Law Degree. Following his graduation, Ashan completed the Legal Practice Course in the College of Law. Ashan previously worked at Birmingham City Council within the Waste Enforcement Team. Whilst working with the Waste Enforcement team, Ashan’s cases have received media coverage where he successfully prosecuted criminals for their unlawful activities in Birmingham. Alongside his position at The Law Practice (UK) Ltd, Ashan is currently furthering his studies in Philosophy, Logic and Critical Thinking at The University of Birmingham.
Imran is a Licensed Conveyancer and a member of the Conveyancing Department at our head office in Walsall.
He joined The Law Practice (UK) Ltd in August 2014 and in August 2016 qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer. In 2012 he completed a postgraduate qualification in Law and gained valuable experience in the Personal Injury sector attaining favourable damages for his clients. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Imran graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a Marketing Retail Management degree in 2001 and worked for numerous sales companies within the FMCG sector. Imran advises clients on all aspects of the buying and selling process, including legal issues, finances and contracts.
Kiranpreet joined The Law Practice (UK) Ltd in April 2017.
In November 2017 Kiranpreet began her training contract and is due to qualify in May 2019. Kiranpreet manages her own conveyancing case load from start to finish under the supervision of a senior solicitor and has 3 years’ experience working within the conveyancing sector. She attained a 2.1 (Hons) LLB Law Degree from the University of Wolverhampton and then went on to complete her Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2015. Prior to joining The Law Practice, Kiranpreet worked at a High Street law firm in Birmingham dealing with Conveyancing, Wills and Probate, and has experience in a wide range of conveyancing matters including sales, purchases and transfers of equity.
Maryam is a Solicitor and Director at The Law Practice (UK) Ltd.
Maryam qualified as a Solicitor in 2002 at a city centre firm in Birmingham. She joined the practice in September 2015. Maryam is experienced in a comprehensive range of residential property work with particular emphasis on new build property transactions. Prior to working at The Law Practice (UK) Ltd, Maryam worked at Walsall Citizens Advice Bureau, during which time she developed extensive knowledge on many legal and social issues affecting the community. Maryam provides clients with holistic advice and aims to achieve the best possible solution to their problem.
Meena qualified as solicitor in 2000 having studied in Liverpool.
Meena ran her own practice for 11 years specialising in Immigration Law, Commercial and Residential Conveyancing, Wills, Probate and Family Law. Meena enjoys her family life, running and participating in charity events having done a tandem parachute jump, a hike in Jordon and has recently signed up to the Zip Wire experience in Wales.
Natasha joined The Law Practice (UK) Ltd in 2017 as Personal Assistant to Managing Director and Head of the Commercial Department, Paul Harris
Her duties include coordinating meetings, typing from audio and administrative support allowing Paul to focus his efforts on achieving the best results for clients. Natasha prides herself on her attention to detail and organisation skills.
Natalie joined The Law Practice (UK) Ltd as an Accounts Manager in 2014.
Natalie has undertaken all relevant training for the SRA Accounts Rules and has over 16 years’ experience. She is responsible for client account transactions for various legal matters. Natalie has a professional approach and proven track record in previous accountancy roles.
Nickeisha is a Paralegal and a member of the conveyancing department at our head office in Walsall. She joined The Law Practice (UK) Ltd in July 2017.
Nickeisha attained LLB Hons Law 2:1, Legal Practice and LLM (Masters of Law) at the University of Wolverhampton and prior to joining the team, volunteered at a private practice specialising in Property and Family Law. Nickeisha works in our Conveyancing Department dealing with property freehold and leasehold transactions. Her duties include raising contractual enquiries, search enquiries, draft mortgage deed and report, search report, title reports, post and pre-completion matter, arranging indemnities and clients ID verification. She takes pride in her work and is very keen to venture into other areas of law within The Law Practice (UK) Ltd to further progress her career.
Paul Harris took over management of The Law Practice (UK) Ltd in 2013 and has been the driving force behind it ever since.
Paul qualified in 1985 with the Chartered Institution of Legal Executives. He strives to achieve innovative solutions to his clients’ legal issues. His breadth of knowledge in all areas of Litigation and Commercial and Private Client stems from over 30 years’ experience in the following matters; Commercial Contract Litigation, Intellectual Property, Dispute Resolution, Property Litigation and High Net Worth Private Client Representation including representation before the Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court and the European Court.
Poppi joined The Law Practice (UK) Ltd as a Legal Assistant in January 2018.
She joined the team immediately after leaving school to pursue her career in the industry after studying law at school. Poppi assists in the Civil Litigation and Commercial Dispute Resolution departments in our Walsall office.
Samah joined The Law Practice (UK) Limited as a Legal Assistant in September 2018.
After completing her studies in business and law at Matthew Bolton College, Samah joined our Commercial and Litigation department in our Walsall Office. Samah provides support to fee earners as well as administrative support across the business.
Sandra joined The Law Practice (UK) Ltd as a receptionist in January 2017.
Sandra is based at our head office in Walsall and is the first point of contact for our clients. Her wealth of experience makes her a great asset to the firm. She is responsible for greeting visitors, taking and managing all incoming phone calls and provides administration support when required.
Sanjeev joined The Law Practice (UK) Ltd as a Manager at our Walsall office in 2013.
Sanjeev trained at Foster Johnston Oldfield Solicitors under the supervision of David Johnston and Paul Harris and qualified in 2005. Sanjeev has extensive experience in both commercial and residential conveyancing and worked with many large property developers such as Barratt Homes and Persimmon Homes.
Sarah is a Conveyancing Executive in the Conveyancing Department based at our Walsall office.
Sarah joined The Law Practice (UK) Ltd in 2016 and has significant experience in a wide range of transactions including; mortgages, title defects and matrimonial transfers. Sarah has over 30 years Conveyancing experience. She began her career in conveyancing at Johnston and Co in Walsall before moving to Cox McQueen Howard Tain in Aldridge. She is well known in the Walsall community among local estate agents, mortgage brokers and investor clients.
Saskia joined The Law Practice (UK) Ltd as a Conveyancing Assistant in February 2014
She has over 6 years’ experience in residential property law; successfully dealing with freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, transfers of equity, re-mortgages and title splits. Saskia has a broad understanding of all the financial aspects of a transaction, including apportionment of rent and service charges, as well as paying Stamp Duty Land Tax. She currently assists the Conveyancing Department with the various areas of residential and commercial property, including lease transactions.
Teena Banga originally received her Honours Degree and Masters in Arts in the area of Psychology and Criminology, however, she decided to retrain in Law in 2006.
She received her academic qualification at the University of Wolverhampton and qualified as a solicitor in 2010. Teena specialises in Immigration law but also has experience of working in Residential Conveyancing, Wills and Probate, Family/Matrimonial Law and Landlord and Tenant. Teena is an avid gym attendee and loves to get lost in a good book (preferably non-legal in her spare time). She also thoroughly enjoys getting involved in charity work when she can.
Zoe joined The Law Practice (UK) Ltd in March 2016.
Zoe initially joined The Law Practice (UK) Ltd as a Paralegal within our Litigation Department concentrating on Regulatory matters involving financial miss-selling to high net worth individuals. Zoe qualified as a Solicitor in October 2018 having undertook seats in our Litigation, Commercial, Employment and Family departments. Zoe works in our Litigation Department focusing on civil claims of any value, from small claims matters to complex multi-track disputes in the County Court including contractual disputes and debt recovery. Zoe also provides advice on divorce and family matters. Prior to joining The Law Practice in March 2016, Zoe worked in an advisory Human Resources position where she gained a broad knowledge and experience in Employment Law. Zoe obtained a 2:1 (Hons) LLB Law Degree from Nottingham Trent University in 2012, before completing her Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Law in Birmingham.
